Chris Hartcher (Liberal, sitting member for Terrigal (previously Peats))
Chris Hartcher referred our letter of request for an interview to Catherine Cusack, Liberal Party shadow minister for Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability. No response has been received from Catherine Cusack.
NSW State Liberal Party have no specific climate change policy.
Under the heading of Environment and Sustainability Policy they have a policy on Renewable Energy to introduce a feed in tariff. They say a comprehensive policy could reduce NSW emissions by 1% per year.
In other parts of their policies, they state they will introduce industry action plans to grow the coal seam methane industry.
We could find no mention of power stations anywhere in the policies.
