Take Action on Climate Change – participate in the National Day of Action – this Sunday, 17 November (see details below)

National Day of Climate Action

Sunday, 17 November

It’s time to turn up the heat on climate action.  Australia’s politicians have severely underestimated how much Australians care about climate change. But if thousands of us hit the streets all around the nation, we will make it clear that the majority of Australians want stronger action on climate change.

Since coming into office, the current Federal government has attacked climate and clean energy laws – including tabling legislation to dump the carbon price, scrap billions of dollars of investment in renewable energy and axe the authority that sets our pollution reduction targets.

Climate change impacts are already affecting Australians across the country—hotter summers, more intense wildfires, floods and drought.

Now with federal parliament back in session and the international community preparing to strike a more ambitious agreement on climate change, it’s time to join together and demand stronger not weaker action. Are you ready?  This Sunday, join with thousands of others to demand action on climate change.

On 17th November, tens of thousands of Australians will gather in capital cities and hundreds of regional towns to make it clear: the majority of Australians want stronger action on climate change. Make sure you RSVP today to turn up the heat on climate action.
