Woytopia Festival

Come along to Woytopia on Sunday 31 October from 10am-4pm at Woy Woy South Public School!

A one hour session on Climate Change will be held at 10:30 to present the latest science and what the home owner can do to reduce emissions.

Woytopia is a fun family-friendly day out with a green focus. Music features acclaimed local singer-songwriter Sarah Humphreys, Latin jazz duo Ricky Vargas and Dimitri, and classical/blues viola player Paul Groh. Kids’ entertainment puts the emphasis on participation and creativity with music-making, a theatre workshop, dancing, arts and crafts, soccer, and an under-5s playzone.

The Australian Walkabout Wildlife Park will present native animal shows and ochre facepainting, and Jake Cassar will introduce you to local bushtucker. There will be a giant “Dreamtime” mural painting, bike repair and solar cooking demonstrations, yoga, Indian dancing, drumming, an eco-friendly barbecue, global food and organic cake stalls, and a chance to win a dinner date for two at Lizotte’s.

Green talks, workshops and short films will cover topics from climate change to beekeeping, growing your own vegies and cutting energy bills.

Admission is free. For more, see www.woytopia.info
